“Iron Wok Jan!” Anime Reveals July 2026 Premiere and New Cast Members

New information has been released for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of “Iron Wok Jan!”. A new trailer confirms that the series will begin broadcasting in Japan on July 5, 2026.​​

The original manga by Shinji Saijyou was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 1995 to 2000 and concluded with 27 volumes in Japan. The anime adaptation is directed by Ei Aoki at TROYCA, with series composition by Makoto Uezu, character designs by Masako Matsumoto and music by Tomoki Kikuya. The opening theme song, “Kaen”, will be performed by Genin wa Jibun ni Aru.


Alongside the trailer, five additional cast members were announced:

• Celene Yang voiced by M・A・O
• Kei Sawada voiced by Takahiro Sakurai
• Tomohide Jun voiced by Taishi Murata
• Yuji Kawahara voiced by Yuusuke Kobayashi
• Nichido Otani voiced by Masuo Amada

Synopsis

Jan is a talented young chef at a top class restaurant in Tokyo called Gottancho. Jan is really arrogant and full of self-confidence regarding his cooking technique. He always challenges Kiriko – a talented chef of Gottancho. Both Jan and Kiriko have entered a cooking competition. Who will win?
