Funimation plant Expansion in weitere Regionen
publicado en por RocketsSnorlaxNachdem die im August angekündigte Übernahme von Funimation durch Sony Pictures Television abgeschlossen wurde, hat der texanische Anime-Publisher in seinem Blog einige Fragen beantwortet.Während den Nutzern in den USA, Kanada, Großbritannien, Irland, Australien und Neuseeland versichert wird, dass sich an den bestehenden Angeboten auch in Zukunft nichts ändern soll – und auch die seit letztem Jahr bestehende Partnerschaft mit Crunchyroll fortgeführt wird –, äußert sich der Anbieter auch zu Expansionsplänen:
Zusätzlich betont Funimation, dass durch die Übernahme durch Sony eine engere Zusammenarbeit mit den japanischen Produzenten und Schöpfern ermöglicht wird. Ähnliches beabsichtigen aber auch Netflix (aktuell 30 Titel in Arbeit) und andere Anbieter.
