Yuu has just started her first year at high school. At her middle school graduation party, a boy who always liked her confessed his love to her, but she did not answer him at the time because his confession did not touch her. She loves shoujo manga and continually has a certain image of what such a declaration of love should feel like, yet she didn’t feel it and couldn’t find the right way to respond for months. Yuu witnesses Nanami, a member of the student council, tactfully rejecting such a confession of love. As she later learns from her, she never acted on any of these confessions because she felt nothing about them. Encouraged by Nanami’s honesty, she discovers a kindred spirit in her and asks her for advice, but after Nanami helps her, she does something Yuu does not expect …

Yuu hat gerade ihr erstes Jahr an der Oberschule begonnen. Bei ihrer Mittelschulabschlussfeier gestand ihr ein Junge, der sie stets mochte, seine Liebe, doch sie antwortete ihm damals nicht, denn sein Geständnis berührte sie nicht. Sie liebt Shoujo-Manga und hat fortwährend ein bestimmtes Bild davon, wie sich eine solche Liebeserklärung anfühlen sollte, jedoch fühlte sie dies nicht und fand über Monate hinweg nicht den richtigen Weg, darauf zu reagieren. Yuu erlebt mit, wie Nanami, ein Mitglied des Schülerrates, ein derartiges Liebesgeständnis mit Taktgefühl zurückweist. Wie sie später von ihr erfährt, ist sie niemals auf eines dieser Geständnisse eingegangen, weil sie nichts dabei fühlte. Ermutigt durch Nanamis Ehrlichkeit, entdeckt sie in ihr eine Gleichgesinnte und bitte sie um Rat, doch nachdem ihr Nanami geholfen hat, tut sie etwas, womit Yuu nicht rechnet …
