Kuro Shitsuji: Book of Circus (2014)

The year is 1889, and the travelling circus Noah’s Ark is currently touring England. Numerous children are reported missing in every town where the circus performs. Queen Victoria commissions the young Lord Ciel Phantomhive to get to the bottom of the disappearances. To get closer to the truth, Ciel and his butler Sebastian Michaelis immerse themselves in the circus world and become part of the mysterious circus. They soon realise that they are not the only ones who have infiltrated the ranks of the circus and also that they themselves are not only hunters but also hunted at the same time.

Es ist das Jahr 1889; derzeit reist der Wanderzirkus Noah’s Ark durch England. In sämtlichen Ortschaften, in denen er gastiert, werden zahlreiche Kinder als vermisst gemeldet. Königin Victoria beauftragt den jungen Lord Ciel Phantomhive, den Vermisstenfällen auf den Grund zu gehen. Um der Wahrheit näherzukommen, tauchen Ciel und sein Butler Sebastian Michaelis selbst in die Zirkuswelt ein und werden Teil des geheimnisvollen Zirkus. Schnell merken sie, dass sie nicht die einzigen sind, die sich in die Reihen des Zirkus eingeschlichen haben, und auch, dass sie selbst nicht nur Jäger, sondern gleichzeitig auch Gejagte sind.
