Rage of Bahamut: Genesis (2014)

The magical world of Mistarcia is inhabited by humans, gods and demons. In the past, the powerful dragon Bahamut threatened to destroy this world, but the three factions overcame their differences to fight Bahamut together. Eventually, Bahamut was barely defeated and banished with a mighty seal. God and Satan, the leaders of Heaven and Hell, each turned into one half of the key and brought peace to the world for 2000 years with their sacrifice.

But there are still followers of Bahamut who long for the end of the world. Amira was created as the planned child of a demon and an angel to be able to absorb both keys. She is told that she can only visit her angel mother Nicole in Hellheim if she steals the Key of the Gods – which she succeeds in doing, even though she loses one of her wings in the process. She then ends up in a city of humans, where she meets bounty hunter Favaro Leone in a busy pub, who wants to guide her there in return for a kiss – even though he doesn’t actually know the way. With a demonic pact, she forces him to keep his promise. Thus, the unusual comrades set off for the distant land.

Die magische Welt Mistarcia wird von Menschen, Göttern und Dämonen bewohnt. In der Vergangenheit drohte der mächtige Drache Bahamut diese Welt zu vernichten, aber die drei Gruppierungen überwanden ihre Differenzen, um Bahamut gemeinsam zu bekämpfen. Am Ende konnte Bahamut gerade noch besiegt und mit einem mächtigen Siegel gebannt werden. Gott und Satan – die Anführer von Himmel und Hölle – haben sich jeweils in eine Hälfte des Schlüssels verwandelt und der Welt mit ihrem Opfer 2000 Jahre lang den Frieden gebracht.

Doch es gibt immer noch Anhänger von Bahamut, die das Ende der Welt herbeisehnen. Amira ging als geplantes Kind eines Dämons und eines Engels hervor, um beide Schlüsselhälften in sich aufnehmen zu können. Ihr wird gesagt, dass sie ihre Engelsmutter Nicole nur in Hellheim besuchen darf, wenn sie den Schlüssel der Götter stiehlt. Das gelingt ihr zwar, jedoch verliert sie dabei einen ihrer Flügel. Sie landet daraufhin in einer Stadt der Menschen, wo sie in einem belebten Pub auf den Kopfgeldjäger Favaro Leone trifft, der ihr im Gegenzug für einen Kuss den Weg dorthin zeigen will – auch wenn er ihn nicht wirklich kennt. Mit einem dämonischen Pakt zwingt sie ihn, sich an sein Versprechen zu halten und so machen sich die ungewöhnlichen Kameraden auf den Weg in das ferne Land.
