Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo (1978)

¡Lupin está muerto! Al menos eso es lo que piensa el mundo, excepto un hombre, el investigador Zenigata, que ahora se propone de encontrarlo. Pero como Lupin es como es, va como siempre a lo suyo. Por encargo de Fujiko, debe encontrar una piedra antigua, que se dice que puede darle la vida eterna. Sin embargo, detrás de la misión hay otra persona. Un multimillonario llamado Mamo, que es consumido por el poder y la idea de la vida eterna. Tiene sus propios planes secretos con la piedra, pero eso no puede ser una buena intención para el resto del mundo. Sólo Lupin puede detenerlo ahora, pero justo en ese momento se pone en un enfrentamiento con Goemon y Jigen. ¿Y ahora qué, maestro ladrón?

Lupin is dead! At least that’s what the world thinks, except for one man, the investigator Zenigata, who now sets out to find him. But as Lupin usually does, he goes about his own business. On Fujiko’s behalf, he is supposed to find an ancient stone that is said to be able to give you eternal life. Behind the mission, however, is someone else. A billionaire, Mamo, is consumed by power and the idea of eternal life. He has his own secret plans for the stone, which can’t bode well for the rest of the world. Only Lupin can stop him now, but just at this moment, he gets into a clinch with Goemon and Jigen. What now, master thief?

Lupin ist tot! Denkt zumindest die Welt, bis auf einen Mann, den Ermittler Zenigata, der sich nun auf die Suche nach ihm macht. Wie Lupin aber eben so ist, geht er ganz unverblümt seinen eigenen Geschäften nach. Im Auftrag Fujikos soll er nämlich einen antiken Stein finden, welchem nachgesagt wird, er könne einem ewigen Leben verleihen. Hinter dem Auftrag steckt allerdings jemand anders. Ein von Macht und der Vorstellung vom ewigen Leben zerfressener Milliardär, Mamo. Dieser hat seine eigenen geheimen Pläne mit dem Stein, was aber für den Rest der Welt nichts Gutes heißen kann. Nur Lupin kann ihn jetzt noch aufhalten, doch ausgerechnet just in diesem Moment gerät er in einen Clinch mit Goemon und Jigen. Was nun, Meisterdieb?
