Sinopsis:
Un año después del fracaso de una sublevación cuyo objetivo era hacerse con el poder nacional, Zero ha sido dado por muerto. Cientos de rebeldes, que no han renunciado a la lucha armada contra el imperio, son ejecutados aleatoriamente por las tropas del imperio. El jefe militar da una orden tajante: hay que dar con el paradero del hombre que lideró la rebelión y mató al príncipe Clovis, a la princesa Euphemia y a miles de soldados. Mientras, los antiguos camaradas de Zero empiezan a considerarlo un cobarde y un traidor a la causa.

“Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2” continues the first season. One year has passed since the failed rebellion and the apparent death of Zero. Britannia’s rule has been secured once more and the rebellion’s followers have largely been arrested. To suppress future rebellions and rebellious thoughts in Area 11, the Elevens are made an example of with immense brutality. Lelouch, not knowing about his past as Zero and now a simple high school student, suddenly finds himself in a plot against his life and that of a mysterious woman called C.C. who reveals his past plans to him as well as his old identity so that he can finish what he started.

»Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2« setzt die erste Staffel nahezu nahtlos fort. Ein Jahr ist seit dem Fehlschlagen der Rebellion und dem mutmaßlichen Tod von Zero vergangen. Die Herrschaft von Britannia wurde wieder gefestigt und die Anhänger der Rebellion zu großen Teilen inhaftiert. Um zukünftige Aufstände und rebellische Gedanken in Area 11 zu unterdrücken, wird nun an den Elevens mit brutaler Gewalt ein Exempel statuiert. Lelouch, unwissend seiner Vergangenheit als Zero und inzwischen einfacher Schüler an seiner Highschool, findet sich plötzlich in einem Komplott gegen sein Leben und das einer mysteriösen Frau namens C.C. wieder. Sie enthüllt ihm seine vergangenen Pläne sowie seine frühere Identität, damit er das, was er begonnen hat, nun auch zu Ende bringt.
