One Piece: El Gran Soldado Mecánico Del Castillo Karakuri (2006)

In “One Piece: Mega Mecha Soldier of Karakuri Castle”, the Strawhat Pirates find a chest on an abandoned shipwreck during a storm. They had expected to find useful content, but not an old but clearly alive woman. Their annoyance that the former treasurer has apparently been disposed of quickly fades when the woman tells them about a golden crown on her home island, Mecha-Island. This is supposed to belong to Luffy and his companions if they bring the old woman safely to the island. Once again, Luffy falls for the thrill of adventure and shatters his crew’s doubts – and the course is set for the island.

Finding the island is no easy task, but the arrival is rather rough: Ratchet, the son of the old woman, is the ruler of the island and does not seem to like the newcomers. Without further ado, he uses his countless inventions to take his mother off the pirate gang’s ship and make it unroadworthy. Luffy and his friends decide to explore the island and find the treasure, but Ratchet has been searching for some time, too. Since the island is full of riddles and only an ominous song can provide clues, the two groups join forces for the time being despite all their doubts.

In »One Piece: Schloss Karakuris Metall-Soldaten« findet die Strohhut-Piratenbande während eines Sturms auf einem verlassenen Schiffswrack eine Truhe, aber eigentlich hätten sie mit brauchbarem Inhalt gerechnet – und nicht mit einer alten, aber quicklebendigen Frau. Die Verärgerung darüber, dass der einstige Schatz offenbar entsorgt worden ist, schwindet schnell, als die Frau von einer goldenen Krone auf ihrer Heimatinsel, Mecha-Island, erzählt. Diese soll Ruffy und seinen Gefährten gehören, wenn sie die alte Frau sicher zur Insel bringen. Wieder einmal verfällt Ruffy dem Rausch des Abenteuers und zerschlägt die Zweifel seiner Crew – und schon wird Kurs auf die Insel gesetzt.

Die Insel zu finden ist bereits kein Leichtes, doch die Ankunft verläuft ziemlich unsanft: Ratchet, Sohn ebenjener alten Frau, ist der Herrscher der Insel und scheint von den Ankömmlingen nicht begeistert zu sein. Kurzerhand nutzt er seine zahllosen Erfindungen, um seine Mutter vom Schiff der Piratenbande zu holen und selbiges fahruntauglich zu machen. Ruffy und seine Freunde beschließen, die Insel zu erkunden und den Schatz zu finden, doch auch Ratchet ist seit geraumer Zeit auf der Suche. Da die Insel voller Rätsel steckt und nur ein ominöses Lied Hinweise zu geben vermag, machen die zwei Gruppen, trotz aller Zweifel, vorerst gemeinsame Sache.
