Episode 1 – Full Metal Panic!

#1Holy fucking shit. I forgot just how good anime productions were in the early 2000s.
There are so many small animated details and stuff to find in the background. Haven't seen things like that in anime in forever.
The comedic timing of the animation is also great. It's a shame that they don't really make them like this anymore.
Of course, I've seen all of this before. More than once. My last rewatch was 16 years ago, though, so I have hopefully forgotten enough to enjoy this as if it was my first time. I'm curious if this is one of those cases that were common back then of putting a lot of resources into the first episode and then having the quality drop off.
