Puni Puni Poemy (2001)

Watanabe Poemi is an almost normal girl. She wants nothing more than to become a seiyuu and would do anything for this job if only she did not have to save Earth first. Aliens have big plans to take over the planet! Fortunately, the Aasu girls are on hand – the sisters have sworn to use their powers for the good of humanity. Too bad that skills like superhuman speed or conjuring flowers are completely useless against extraterrestrial opponents. One of the Aasu sisters is Poemi’s classmate Futaba, who takes her in after Poemi’s parents have fallen victim to the aliens. As Poemi wants to do her part in fighting evil, she manages to transform into the Magical Girl Puni Puni Poemi with the help of a fish.

Watanabe Poemi ist ein fast normales Mädchen. Sie wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher als Seiyuu zu werden und würde für diesen Job alles tun. Leider muss sie sich erst mal um die Rettung der Erde kümmern, denn Aliens haben große Pläne und wollen die Herrschaft an sich zu reißen. Glücklicherweise gibt es die Aasu-Girls, Schwestern, die sich geschworen haben ihre Kräfte für das Wohl der Menschheit einzusetzen. Zu dumm, dass diese Kräfte wie »übermenschliche Geschwindigkeit« oder das herbeizaubern von Blumen völlig nutzlos sind. Eine der Aasu-Schwestern ist Poemis Mitschülerin Futaba, die sie bei sich aufnimmt, als auch Poemis Eltern den Aliens zum Opfer fallen. So kommt es, dass Poemi ihren Teil tun will und sich mit Hilfe eines Fisches in das Magical Girl Puni Puni Poemi verwandelt.
