El Castillo de Cagliostro (1979)

El ladrón Lupin y su amigo Jigen acaban de realizar otro trabajo y han escapado de los malos una vez más, los dos van a Europa en busca del siguiente tesoro. Cuando van tranquilamente por una calle, una joven es perseguida por un par de hombres malos en un coche. Lupin la rescata y se enamora de ella. Su nombre es «Clarisse» y poco después es secuestrada otra vez. Es retenida por el «Conde de Cagliostro» en su castillo porque quiere casarse con ella. Pero el conde es un contrabandista que distribuye su dinero por todo el mundo, y sólo quiere casarse con Clarisse para hacerse con el tesoro de los Cagliostros. Lupin se dispone a rescatar a Clarisse y se dirige al castillo, donde se inicia el gran enfrentamiento

Meisterdieb Lupin III. und sein Kumpel Jigen haben gerade mal wieder ein Ding gedreht und sind mal wieder den bösen Jungs entkommen, da verschlägt es die zwei nach Europa, um den nächsten Schatz zu suchen. Als sie gerade gemütlich eine Straße entlangfahren, wird eine junge Frau von ein paar bösen Männern in einem Auto gejagt. Lupin rettet sie und verliebt sich in sie. Ihr Name ist »Clarisse« und wird auch kurz darauf erneut entführt. Sie wird von dem Grafen von Cagliostro auf seinem Schloss festgehalten, da er sie heiraten will. Der Graf ist aber ein Geldfälscher, der seine Blüten in der ganzen Welt verteilt, und will Clarisse nur heiraten, um an den Schatz der Cagliostros heranzukommen. Lupin macht sich auf, um Clarisse zu retten, und begibt sich auf das Schloss, wo es zum großes Showdown kommt …

Anmerkung:
Die in den 1980ern im Kino und auf VHS unter dem Namen »Hardyman« veröffentlichten Versionen sind stark geschnitten (ca. 16 Minuten fehlen) und durch die Synchronisation verfremdet. Am 3. April 2006 erfolgte eine ungeschnittene Neuveröffentlichung mit neuer Synchronisation.
