Yuuya Tenjou is an overweight, small, but mild-mannered high school student who is bullied at school and tormented by his family. Yuuya Tenjou ist ein übergewichtiger, kleiner, aber sanftmütiger Oberschüler, der in der Schule gemobbt und von seiner Familie gepeinigt wird. Eine große Ausnahme bildet dabei sein Großvater, der sich als einziger um Yuuya kümmert. Als sein Großvater aber eines Tages stirbt, hinterlässt er Yuuya als Alleinerbe sein Haus. Yuuyas Eltern sind davon jedoch wenig begeistert und zwingen ihn von zu Hause auszuziehen und allein im Haus seines Großvaters zu leben. Als sich Yuuya im Haus umsieht, entdeckt er eine seltsame Tür. Als er sie öffnet, findet er dahinter eine andere Welt voller Magie und Monster!

Yuuya entschließt sich einen Schritt ins Unbekannte zu machen und erkundet diese fremde Welt. Schnell findet Yuuya heraus, dass er außergewöhnliche Fähigkeiten und Waffen erhalten hat, und so levelt er auf, bis er nahezu unbesiegbar ist. Als Yuuya wieder durch die Tür in seine Welt geht, stellt er fest, dass sich nicht nur sein Aussehen verändert hat, sondern dass er auch auf der Erde übermenschliche Fähigkeiten besitzt.
