Sing a Bit of Harmony (2021)

When the pretty and mysterious Shion transfers to Keibu High School, no one but the loner Satomi knows that the new classmate is actually a humanoid robot from the laboratory headed by Satomi’s mother and is undergoing a final test phase. The aim of the test is for Shion not to be recognised as an AI at school for five days. Satomi, who actually only found out about it by chance, still wants to help her mother make sure her AI passes the test because she knows how much work has already gone into the project and how often she herself has fallen short because of it. Of course, it doesn’t help that Shion leaves all the standards behind right at her introduction and serenades Satomi in the middle of the classroom.

Barely half an hour later, a select group from Satomi’s class already knows about Shion’s secret because her body has suddenly given up the ghost. However, Toma, a nerd and Satomi’s former childhood friend, is able to get Shion going again. The group of confidants, which includes the ever-popular and attractive Gotchan, the strong-willed Aya and judo club member Thunder, still have to think about whether to reveal the secret or help Shion and Satomi pass the test. For that, in turn, they first have to figure out their relationships with each other – and whether they can rely on each other.

Als die hübsche und mysteriöse Shion an die Keibu-Oberschule wechselt, weiß niemand außer der Einzelgängerin Satomi, dass es sich bei der neuen Mitschülerin eigentlich um einen humanoiden Roboter handelt, der aus dem Labor unter Leitung von Satomis Mutter stammt, und der sich in einer finalen Testphase befindet. Das Ziel des Tests ist, dass Shion fünf Tage lang in der Schule nicht als KI erkannt wird. Satomi, die das eigentlich nur durch einen Zufall erfahren hat, möchte ihrer Mutter trotzdem dabei helfen, dass ihre KI den Test besteht, weil sie weiß, wie viel Arbeit bereits in dem Projekt steckt, und wie oft sie selbst deswegen zu kurz gekommen ist. Da hilft es natürlich nicht, dass Shion direkt bei ihrer Vorstellung alle Standards links liegen lässt und Satomi mitten im Klassenzimmer ein Ständchen darbringt.

Eine knappe halbe Stunde später weiß bereits eine ausgewählte Gruppe aus Satomis Klasse von Shions Geheimnis, weil ihr Körper plötzlich den Geist aufgegeben hat. Toma, ein Nerd und Satomis ehemaliger Freund aus Kindheitstagen, kann Shion jedoch wieder in Gang bringen. Die Gruppe der Mitwisser, zu denen auch der allseits beliebte und attraktive Gotchan, die willensstarke Aya und das Judo-Clubmitglied Thunder gehören, muss sich nun Gedanken darüber machen, ob sie das Geheimnis preisgeben oder Shion und Satomi dabei helfen will, den Test zu bestehen. Dafür wiederum müssen sie sich zuerst einmal ihrer Beziehungen untereinander klarwerden – und ob sie sich aufeinander verlassen können.
