Synopsis

“Donten: Laughing under the Clouds” tells three side stories to “Laughing under the Clouds”, which take place during or after that series.

Episode 1: “New Age”
Once upon a time, brothers Tenka, Soramaru and Chuutarou Kumoh hunted down criminals, but in their battle against the Fuuma Clan and ultimately the reincarnation of the infamous snake Orochi, the three took a severe beating, especially Tenka, who has since been confined to a wheelchair. A year has passed, and Tenka now seems very withdrawn. It is up to his two brothers to uncover the dark secrets of his past.

Episode 2: “Deadly Ritual”
Shirasu and his twin brother were once part of the Fuuma Clan, awaiting the awakening of the giant snake Orochi. This film shows the two brothers growing up in this environment and how they eventually made it to the top of the clan.

Episode 3: “Secret Experiment”
Although the snake Orochi has been defeated, it seems that it is not over yet: The three Kumou brothers discover that the diabolical experiments are still being carried out – and that the special military unit Yamainu, of all people, which once fought against this very crime, is behind it. So now the three brothers have to take on the military itself …
