Full Metal Panic! Victoria Invisible (2018)

It’s been almost 13 years since the second season—The Second Raid—of the anime adaption for Shouji Gatou’s light novel Full Metal Panic! concluded, but the wait is over and we can now reunite with Sousuke, Kaname and Tessa! Invisible Victory starts where season two left off: Sousuke has been reinstated as Kaname’s official guardian and while both are trying to reclaim their everyday lives in school and continue their slowly budding relationship, Tessa, too, works hard to get her crew and organisation back into order. Yet the peace is short-lived, as a storm is a-brewin’: Amalgam—under Leonard’s reign—did not take kindly to its recent defeats and now they consider Mythril a clear obstacle in their ongoing quest to secure Kaname. The solution seems obvious: An all-out attack!

Mythril’s base is under heavy fire and their only choice is to attempt an escape on the Tuatha de Danaan. At the same time, however, Sousuke and Kaname have their own lives to worry about, because Amalgam is done playing around and they will not stop at anything to finally get Kaname into their hands. With their home town under attack and the members of Mythril in mortal peril, what can Sousuke and Kaname do …?

Nach 13 Jahren Pause geht es endlich weiter mit Sousuke, Tessa, Kaname und ihren wahnwitzigen Abenteuern! Die nunmehr dritte Staffel der Anime-Adaption zur „Full Metal Panic!“-Light-Novel – Invisible Victory – setzt da an, wo The Second Raid aufhörte: Sousuke ist nun ganz offiziell wieder Kanames Beschützer und während die beiden sich wieder ihrem Schulalltag widmen wollen, versuchen auch Tessa und ihre Crew wieder etwas Normalität in ihrer Basis aufkommen zu lassen. Doch der Frieden ist nur von sehr kurzer Dauer, denn der Feind ruht nicht … Amalgam, unter der Führung Leonards, wollen nach wie vor Kaname in ihre Gewalt bringen und nachdem sich Tessa und ihre Organisation Mithril mehrfach in die Machenschaften Amalgams eingemischt haben, sind diese ihnen nun ein ziemlicher Dorn im Auge. Die Devise ist also klar: Angriff!

Die Mithril-Basis steht unter schwerem Beschuss und ihre einzige Rettung in dieser schier ausweglosen Situation scheint eine Flucht auf die Tuatha de Danaan zu sein. Allerdings können sich auch Sousuke und Kaname nicht in Sicherheit wähnen, denn Amalgam schrecken auch nicht davor zurück, eine ganze Stadt in Angst und Schrecken zu versetzen, um ihre Ziele zu erreichen …
